Privacy Policy
Сhiday Story was built on a simple promise: your memories belong to you, and only you. This policy explains, in plain language, how the app handles information — or rather, how little it does. In short, we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Every prompt you answer, every entry you write, and every thread you build stays on your own device.
1. Information We Collect
Сhiday Story does not collect any personal information. We do not ask for your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or any identifier when you use the app. Your journal entries and prompt responses are created and read only by you, on your own device.
2. How We Use Information
Because no information is collected, none is used, profiled, analyzed, or monetized. There is no behavioral tracking of your writing habits, no reading of your entries by us, and no algorithm studying your memories. What you write is simply yours.
3. Data Storage
All prompts, entries, and memory threads are stored locally in the app's storage on your device. Nothing is uploaded to a server or cloud database that we control. If you delete the app, your local archive is removed along with it, unless you have made your own backup.
4. Third-Party Services
Сhiday Story does not embed third-party analytics kits, advertising networks, or tracking pixels. No data about your usage, your device, or your writing is shared with outside companies, because none is collected in the first place.
5. Data Security
Since your entries never leave your device, they benefit from the security protections your operating system already provides — device encryption, app sandboxing, and your own passcode or biometric lock. We do not operate servers that could be breached, because we hold nothing to breach.
6. Children's Privacy
Сhiday Story does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. As no personal data is gathered from any user of any age, the app is inherently aligned with COPPA's intent to protect younger users.
7. Your Control
There are no accounts to create and no profiles to manage. You are always in full control of your archive: write freely, edit anytime, or remove everything at once simply by uninstalling the app from your device.
8. Changes to This Policy
If this policy is ever updated to reflect new features, the revised version will be posted within the app with a new effective date. Continued use of Сhiday Story after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
